Government buyers are navigating a changed environment. Your sales conversations need to change with it.

The Day at a Glance

A full day of expert instruction, candid government insight, and hands-on application designed to change how you prepare for and lead public sector sales conversations.

8:30–9:00 | Arrival

Arrive, enjoy breakfast, and connect with fellow GovTech and GovCon professionals before the program begins.

9:00 | Welcome: Juliana Slye

Arrival, breakfast, and networking.

9:20-10:35 | Cultural Intelligence

Mika will examine how risk, accountability, oversight, and unspoken constraints shape government behavior. Participants will learn to read power and influence beyond job titles, interpret cautious or noncommittal signals, understand why common business language may land differently in government, and sound informed without sounding presumptuous.

10:35-10:50 | Break

Take a short break to recharge and connect with fellow attendees before the next session begins.

10:50-12:15 | CRAFT Part 1

Craig will introduce the first two stages of CRAFT. Participants will be able to assess urgency, leverage, customer priorities, and timing, then look beyond titles to identify the people who hold real power and influence within an account.

12:15–1:00 | Lunch

Enjoy a catered lunch while continuing the conversation through lightly facilitated table discussions focused on government buyer expectations, credibility, trust, and effective follow-up.

1:00-2:15 | Leadership Connect

James McKenna of Leadership Connect will bring current and former government leaders into a candid roundtable on what makes sellers credible, what causes buyers to disengage, which questions earn a stronger conversation, and how industry should interpret outreach, follow-up, and buying signals more carefully.

2:15 - 2:30 | Break

Take a short break to recharge before the afternoon sessions begin.

2:30-3:45 | CRAFT Part 2

Craig will guide participants through the final stages of CRAFT. Attendees will learn how to earn the right to engage, frame stronger conversations, uncover meaningful motivations, and replace pressure with proof.

3:45 - 4:00 | Applied Lab

Mika and Craig will guide participants through an applied lab to build a one-page Government Engagement Brief for a real target account. You’ll leave with a sharper account strategy, a stronger way into the conversation, and a clear plan for what to do differently the very next time you engage a government buyer.

4:00 - 5:30 | Happy Hour

Close out the day with drinks, conversation, and a chance to connect with fellow GovCon and GovTech professionals, workshop speakers, and sponsors. Continue the discussion, exchange ideas, and build new relationships in a relaxed setting.

Come prepared to work on a real account and leave with tools you can put to use on Monday.
